According to www.Metalunderground.com Atlanta metal kings Mastodon have announced their full 2011 summer tour plans including many major European festivals in June and July as well as the previously announced Heavy T.O. Festival in Toronto, Canada. Following the pattern of their last few albums when they get off the road they will regroup to continue writing and record the follow-up to 2009's excellent Crack The Skye (Warner Bros) album expected in 2012.
The band has recently released their first live concert DVD, Live at the Aragon which is a full performance of that album in its entirety in Chicago last year as well some other great cuts the band is known for. The DVD also features some cool extras such as “Crack The Skye: The Movie” which is a run through of their of their inventive film projections set to the performance of the CTS album. A true must have for fans and collectors.
