I disagree with that statement. I would have fun because I like some of the bands each year but to say you're not a fan of music is taking it a little extreme
I'm sure you can look through the years and find bands that have played from those genres.
Also if you limit yourself to those genres as a deciding factor if you go it would suck to be you. Aside from a band here or there those genres get pretty boring seeing a lot from them.

I would go for the experience but that's about it. I like some bands but the majority I don't and don't want to waste my time with. I usually put money towards some other tour

I wouldn't make it a deciding factor. I like other genres but there's some people who don't. I also could never find myself bored with death or thrash

And while this is more cajun/blues style music I saw The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band there this year. They were a friggin blast.
