or maybe you have lol. anyways i know my track record with recommendation bands is a little shaky but this one is great. The band is Arcanum Sanctum and their album Fidus Achates is currently my album of the year. They are Russian Melodeath with some of the freshest riffs I've heard in a while. their use of keys is awesome too and good vocals top off the package

Septicflesh. I had heard OF them, but prior to seeing them on the Behemoth line-up, I never heard their Music, and when I did.....Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Perfection.

Ikuinen Kaamos are pretty awesome.

And I have heard of Arcanum Santum, they came up on last.fm a while back HA! HA!
Anyway, I really prefer melodeath that goes the progressive route (i.e. Dan Swano, Amorphis, Edge of Sanity) or melodeath that is more emotional/epic (i.e. Insomnium).

But the greatest band you've never heard of (or maybe you have, I'm sure I've posted them here some) is Gris.
Or Forest Silence.

I'm about 3 minutes into Dreamkeeper and this is hands down some of the least interesting metal I have ever heard.
