QUICK BTBAM Review

Merch sucked cuz they were out of all sizes except extra small and xxl

Scale The Summit was very talented but boring as fuck until the last song.

Devin Townsend was a complete eargasm.

Cynic was a huge disappointment. They had perfect sound and played amazing, but their set list was horrible. They played a few good ones off Traced In Air and then played like 4 slow boring ballads in a row. They didn't play How Could I? And if I'm not mistaken they didn't play Veil Of Maya. The highlight of their set was they made the audience do stupid yoga bends and the guy behind us says in a Nathan Explosion voice "THIS IS BRUUUTALLLLLL"

Cynic was NOT a disappointment. They didn't play Veil of Maya here either, but slow, tranquil stuff is what most of their stuff is....

if i saw cynic they could play any of their songs and i would not be disapointed, as long as the sound was good.

JL, I know they have a lot of slow tranquil stuff, but they also have a lot of faster more technical stuff, and the fact that they played a few one after another it got really boring fast. And out of nowhere, after they finished the first faster more distorted song after all of the slow ones their set just ended. It was lame imo. This is all in my opinion, I'm reviewing them and I thought they were boring during those slow songs. Their first 4 or 5 they played were amazing and I really enjoyed them at that point.

So, to finish the review...

BTBAM came on and tore the place up. I don't know a lot of their material but I could really feel the grind influence in quite a few of their songs. Their sound was dead on, and they delivered one of the best performances I have seen to date. Their last two songs were extremely long and a bit tiring, but very awesome nonetheless.

HIGHLIGHTS:

- Alaska
- The light guy did guest vocals in a song and then the crowd surfed him back to the board.

All in all, a great show and I seriously recommend going to it if you can. Next up for me is Arch Enemy and Exodus and I'll have a review.

I don't care for BTBAM too much. Though I love how they implicate Jazz type elements into some of their songs.

nice. that should be a good show. Arch enemy, Exodus, Arsis, Mutiny Within... sounds pretty damn good.
