JL is right led zeppelin WAS considered heavy metal in the 70's, whether they seem metal by todays stadards or not, they WERE what heavy metal was back then

In america whole lotta love and led zeppelin II had changed the sound of rock. The old terms--'white blues,' 'heavy music.'--didnt fit zeppelin. A new term was coined: 'heavy metal'
