"Cormorant's vocalist/bassist is really into that band."
the only thing that prevents me from really loving that band is the drum machine... i just hate the way it sounds.
I found a good substitute in Thurisaz though... they're falkenbach-esque; but with a real drummer. (although the dude from Falkenbach writes much better songs)

"Wine, I checked out that album Metazoa by Cormorant that you posted on the first page of this thread, and HOLY SHIT THANK YOU FOR EXPOSING ME TO THIS. That is some of the best stuff I've heard in a while.
To anyone who reads this: Go check them out right now. DO IT. Now."
The more and more I listen to it, the more and more I'm convinced it's one of the best metal albums I've ever heard.
Sure, I got into metal late, and I haven't quite reached the zenith of my metal fanaticism, but I'll be damned if I'm not still saying "wow" to that album 15 years from now.

All that was running through my head was "what the fuck is this?" but not in a bad way; I couldn't believe human beings made an album that good.
Well put, but the thing that fascinates me about this album was that it was released about 10 months ago...10 months...
Falkenbach are good, but not great. And yes, drum machines are super annoying.
