I just can't stand all this overhype shit. I was watching espn today and they were interviewing people about him some kid is asked why he was excited to have his jersey, kid replies because he is the best, interview says but he hasn't even played a major league game yet. Kid says well that doesn't matter.

My response, uhh.......

Anyway I wish they would have started him Friday against the reds but they didn't because the reds have one of the highest batting and slugging percentages in the league and they didn't want this kid to get batted around on his first time out

I agree though... its overhyped. But it's ESPN; thats what they do. They flip-flop like a motherfucker on that network.

griffey jr. was hyped in the same way...and everyone loved him....dude made it to the majors after only 2 months of pro baseball....i hope he does good and then gets traded to the tigers in 2-3 years lol

well he wasn't hyped as much....but things are hyped way more now a days.....i guess you would say with inflation rates griffey was hyped as much

He's been a good pitcher....in the minors. He seems to be the real deal, but for all we know he could just be another Mark Prior.

We will see when he faces a good team. I watched a good amount of the game and he is a good pitcher but we have to see how he is against good teams before I'll believe the hype

so the giants and reds are playing today the reds came back and took the lead in the eigth inning. The fans were having a good time heckling the giants but nothing real bad. An asshurt giants fan takes a plastic cup full dip and throws in over the dugout into the crowd.great class you have there in San Fran!

oh and the tigers have been tanking the last 3 weeks....they really need to make probably 2 moves if they really wanna be in this race

Not worth it. They're a slightly above-average team at best. Wait until the offseason when they have money to spend.

there top 6 of the lineup can be one of the best in baseball....they just have to many rookies.....if they can get cliff lee for cheap and then sign him to a deal thats what they should do....and they could use either a real catcher (if avila doesnt continue to pick it up) and a real shortstop

They're not going to do it this year. It's too risky. Cliff Lee or Roy Oswalt would not come cheap. The Twins are too good right now.
