I can't name anyone in baseball but A-Rod and McCutchen. I couldn't even name you any of the Cubs until I watched the Wild Card game.

Even the video games. I buy Madden, I buy 2K, I buy NHL, I never buy MLB. It's not fair weather, it's that the sport literally don't interest me. Even if the Cubs won, yea I'd go downtown and turn up wit everybody, but the high would fade pretty quickly, wouldn't have me on cloud 9 like the Bulls or Bears would.

I'm a Braves fan so it ultimately doesn't really matter to me whether the blue jays, royals or mets win. But i guess it's more the fact that the Royals haven't won in a long time, they're still somewhat underdogs. /shrugs

They can still shorten the season by throwing in some more weekend doubleheaders or something. Increase the regular roster size so players can still get rest.
