I figure we have a few boxing fans here (and the big PBF/Sugar Shane fight is about a month away.
And here's the undercard for tonights PPV Jason Litzau vs Rocky Juarez Sergio Mora vs Calvin Green Ismayl Sillakh vs Daniel Judah $49.99 or $20 bucks if you see it at movie theaters
Litzau vs. Juarez - Litzau has a very weak chin an that will ultimately be his achilles heel. Juarez by KO - Round 8
Mora vs. Green - Mora's been out for I believe 19 months. But, I still see him coming out on top and winning by decision.
Sillakh vs Judah - Sillakh is 11-0. 10 of those wins were by KO. He takes his first lost here though. Judah is one of the better southpaws in the business. That's what happens when your brother is Zab. Judah by decision.
Hopkins vs. Jones Jr. - Well, here we are 17 later from the first bout where Roy was clearly the better fighter. That won't be the case this time around though. This is a legitimate heated rival and something boxing fans have been wanting again for sometime now. The problem is, Jones is a mere shadow of what he once was. His last fight proves that. But because of the storied rival, I see him coming out a given all he's got. It still won' be enough though. Hopkins by KO in round 10.
for me, I was raised on boxing. First fight I went too was Jones Jr/Hill in Biloxi in 98. Boxing will always be number 1 to me. Nothing against MMA though, because I do indeed love it.
But uh, man those two old men put on one helluva show last night. The cheap shots, while nobody should condone them. It defiantly added to the fight and showed just how heated the rivalry really was. At times I could see Hopkins knocking Jones out at any given moment, and at times Jones showed spurts of an old Roy and could've knocked B-Hop out out at any given moment. There was defiantly some great boxing that took place at times. But, Jones just seemed a bit hesitate to unleash. Hopkins used the same punch, punch, clinch combo and won with it. If you were looking for a classic boxing clinic, you would of been dissapointed. But it was entertaining none to less. Two first ballot HOF's.
^ I hope so but boxing needs to pull there head out of their ass, unite the belts , and become less of a fuckin freak show for it to ever be relevant again. and a dominant player would prob also help...
It can't be a fad when it's been around for more than 10 years. Boxing is dieing face it, I'm tired of seeing bullshit decisions and fighters fighting for points.
