To be honest I can't stand Lazarus AD. It just pisses me off because they are a generic thrash band with a scene following. To me, they are a trend.

I have not seen them live, I do like The Onslaught..But I'm not completely sold until they make a second CD.

No, I don't think Warbringer and Evile are trends. At first, I was unsure about Evile, because when I first heard them I was like "Oh great, Metallica wannabees" but after listening to more of their songs and their new album, I am sold on them. And Warbringer is sick as hell. I only think Lazarus is a trend because they are pretty much a slightly more thrashy metalcore.
