And this is why I always listen before I buy. I bought a Coheed and Cambria cd once because I really liked one song I heard on the radio. Hated the rest of it so I wasted like 30 bucks
There are a few bands I'll blindly buy an album from without listening first, but not many. I'll usually have to like a few songs from it first. That's what kept me away from Super Collider lol.
Actually, I did. And I disliked it a great amount. Here's the thing; I love Megadeth. One of my all time favorite bands and I love the majority of their albums besides Risk and Cryptic Writings, but I can still appreciate some materiel off of them and don't write them off as terrible. I own every single Megadeth studio album, plus Hidden Treasures and the singles for Symphony of Destruction and Hangar 18. So when it came time for Super Collider I had low hopes. They released for singles from out, 3 of which I hated (Super Collider, The Blackest Crow and Dance in the Rain). So I actually found Super Collider at my library and rented it. I only liked two fucking songs (King Maker and Forget to Remember). The album was ass, so I swear to never buy it unless super bargain. So I found the one with the holographic cover and three bonus tracks for 99 cents and pretty much only purchased so I could fill that empty hole in my Megadeth collection.

Iron Maiden will blindly get my money until I'm dead \m/
I can agree to that. Honestly, I blind buy everything until a band pisses me off (In This Moment with Blood, Linkin Park with Minutes to Midnight, etc.). There is a select grouping of shit that I blindly buy but am kind of hesitant. The three listed above is what I blind buy with no worries. I just love the authenticity of listening to my shit from a freshly purchased CD. Flipping through the booklet and shit. Yeah
I'm not a fan of wasting money. So the band I'm purchasing has to either be one that rarely or never has let me down before, or I've listened to the album first on the net
