The guy at the comic store was telling me the same thing. They sold out of the last two issues. I am going to read this one and if I like it I will pick up issue 2 and wait for the other ones to come in. Guy said this one had a lot of tie ins as well. One of them being with the Teen Titans.

like The Court of Owls crossover before this one, Death In The Family as crossovers with Batman, Batman and Robin, Teen Titans, Catwoman, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Nightwing, and Suicide Squad. Basically all of the modern Batman related serieses besides The Dark Knight, Batman: Incorporated, and Batwing (I believe).
Scott Snyder is one hell of an author. Both Court of Owls and Death in the Family have been really well received. Good luck finding the rest of it. You'll probably be able to get second printings at least, but the first printing covers of all the #13's are SO COOL.
